Immunization booster at 3 years and four months

Discovered purely by chance last week during a visit to the doctor that my nearly four year old ds should have had an immunization booster shot 6 months ago. There are two issues I need to ask advice about - we are off to Morocco next week, so best NOT to have the shot before we fly out? And am guessing it's not really very harmful to have this booster shot 6 months down the track? And did anyone get a letter advising of the need for this booster shot from their doctor?

it is done any time from 3 years 4 months - ds had his last week at 3.6years. We get the notification sent out automatically though. I knew it was due as I have an older dd who had it a few years ago.

p.s. the boosters used to be a bit later than they are now as dd had hers when she was just over the age of 4.

I asked about DS's pre school booster last week when I took DD for her third set of baby jabs. I was told it was 3 years 9 months but that they were trying to bring that down.
