Tips for getting baby to take pain relief

My DD2 is obviously suffering with teething pain but we are finding it v hard to get her to take any Calpol or ibuprofen. Gave tried spoon and syringe but we just seem to get it spat back at us, even when dripping it in. Any tips that have worked for you?

Bonjela?

Ashton and Parsons?

DD is 3 and has never, ever, ever willingly taken medicine. If we ever forced the issue she vomitted.

We were given some paracetemol suppositories from a French friend. Perhaps ask your pharmacist if they are available here?

Or if she is old enough, soluble paracetemol - Disprol is the brand name I think.

I know the trick for this (only works on babies). Syringe it into the side of the mouth quite far back and as the medicine enters their mouth blow sharply on their face. It takes them by surprise and they automatically swallow. Job done!

OK, have made some progress in that she will take the Teetha powders but they don't seem to last very long.
Tried the syringing and blowing on the face trick - no good for her as she'd pushed it out of her mouth before we had chance to blow! I'll perservere with it though.
