Have posted on another thread but wonder if it would be better posted here? Has anyone any experience of this in an older child. It only seems to happen when she really laughs, and its hard to tell her not to laugh.

Hi Pilates,

DD3 had a problem with this. Any time she laughed she was in danger of "wetting". As a toddler her potty training went fine. Although she never had a great "waiting time". If she needed to go, she needed to go NOW! She is now nearly 16. Her worst time for the stress incontinence was probably about 12 -13 when she went through the "giggly" stage. A bit of a nightmare and I was always worried that something would happen in front of her friends. She was always able to hide it (we think).
Not such a problem now. If she starts to laugh she will often run to the toilet, but appears to have learnt how to manage it more.

Have to admit here that I remember having a similar issue when I was between the ages of 11 and 13.

Thanks PA. Thats the problem it has happened infront of friends - very embarassing for her! It doesn't help that she is a bit of a giggle-pot anyway.
