Chicken pox - do some spots take much longer to crust over than others?

My 2.1 yo DS developed CP last Tuesday. By Sunday all spots bar 3 were crusted over. They are still not scabbed. One is in the nappy area and has rubbed raw, though doesn't look infected. I assume this one will find it hard to crust because of where it is. However he has one on his finger and another on the sole of his foot, neither of which have scabbed. The one on his finger looks as if it might have blistered into a very hard blister - or it might not be CP at all. The one on the sole of his foot is just a red dot (not raised) and definitely hasn't blistered.

Does anyone have any thoughts?

I've kept him off nursery again but frankly we're both desperate for him to go back as he has a very bad case of cabin fever after a week of being confined to the house with a newborn as his only playmate....

All my dc's had chickenpox last year, one after the other so i can totally sympathise with the cabin fever!!
Oldest dc had it first and he had one solitary blister on his back for just over a week before we realised it was actually chickenpox-no other symptoms at all. then the rest came up and scabbed but the first blister took ages to scab over-in total i think he had it for over a fortnight.

Not sure if it might be worth asking for them to be checked?
Am sure someone might be along soon to give you a more definate answer.
Hope he recovers soon.
