Flat head

Hi Guys. My baby has a flat head on one side where she favours sleeping with her head turned. Has anyone had this problem and used the love nest pillows with any success? My baby moves around the cot at night and cannot see that she will stay in the nest and see that this could pose a danger in her cot.Has anyone had this problem and not used anything to help and things have been fine? I don't mind what she looks like and to me it adds to her cuteness and character but her school friends may not see it the way I do.

How old is your baby?

One or maybe it was two of mine had similar but as they get older it dissapears or gets less noticable, not sure which. hth

My 2 both had this. I noticed it early on with my 2nd and used a special pillow to avoid it but it still happened. Now they are older and I can hardly notice it. I think I was overly anxious about it. When they get a bit older and can then move about and sleep on their front of their own accord it will get better. I think the only thing you can do is put her on her front when she is awake as much as she will allow.

Hello
my dd4 had this (plagioencephaly I think its called?!) she used to favour sleeping on one side and one side got quite noticeably flat.

we did nothing apart from put her on her front during the day as often as poss and kept a rolled up towel behind her back to encourage her to sleep on the other side.

she is now 3 and you cannot tell she ever had it! in fact not noticed it since she was probably about 18 months I'm sure your little one will be fine too as you've noticed it early and are acting on it.

Thanks for your input guys.
She is just coming up to 5 months old. We have her jabs coming up next week so I will have a chat with the health visitor.
