Waxy ears in 15 month old

Hello. Just wondering if waxy ears are a sign of anything I should be concerned about? DS seems to have noticable wax in - mostly - one ear every morning. I clean gently with a bud - not pushing inside obviously, but wondered if it could be something more serious. He had an ear infection about a month ago but they weren't that waxy then. He is almost 15 months.

Many thanks!

My dd is like that, the wax is very dark too, and probably needs cleaning gently round the outside of her ear about once a week... which I thought was a lot!
Anyway, we are already under the ENT lady for routine hearing tests and I mentioned it to her, she said it was all fine and had a "better out than in" attitude.
It seems that you need to worry if they have pain or hearing loss otherwise, don't worry!

Just noticed DD's (2.7) are like this. I relented and got the cotton buds out and just very gently cleaned them. Hers was very dark, but mine is too (I have a bit of an obsession with cleaning my own ears, so satisfying, even if it is wrong). DD is now fascinated and keeps asking about the 'taxi' (wax) in her ears

Somebody once told me (a Health Visitor I think) that loads of ear wax is a sign of talking too much!
Not sure how reliable that piece of info is, although my son is very chatty and very waxy!
