Hi all. DD1 has chicken pox at the moment and obviously will be kept at home until all spots scabbed over. Howver, DD2 has not had it and is therefore 70-80% likely to contract it. AS it's most contageous before symptoms emerge, what do I do about DD2 having contact with others? I would obviously avoid anyone with an immune deficiency and also unnecessary contact like Mums and Tots group, but what about child care? I can't keep DD2 home for three weeks, which is the longest incubation period on the chance she's incubating it. Wha do most people do?

Get on with life but notify your CM so he/she can advise any parents of immuno-compromised dc's.

(As mother or an immuno-compromised dc, we get notified and then I can make informed decision!)
