Should I take my dd to see our GP

My dd is 6 months old and has been a little 'offside' since Tuesday now. She has been very clingy and is off her feeds. She is not vomitting but has got very loose stools. She hasnt got a temp and when she is sat on my knee etc she seems fine in herself so am unsure if I should take her to see the doctor or not? Am worried that they may just think Im being neurotic?

sounds like teething to me.

Thats what I thought, it was just the non intrest in feeding that was bothering me

depends how off her feeds she is. if not feeding at all, take her. if just taking a bit less, dont worry. as long as weeing and pooing and no temp then am sure is just teething. sometimes they arent so obviously in pain with gums. has she got any teeth yet? 6 months is a classic age for them to start appearing. red cheeks?

Never worry about your gp thinking you're neurotic though - take her if you're uneasy. The doc won't mind even if it is trivial, and if she/he does, change docs.

Is your baby weeing OK - i.e. hydrated?

Take her to the GP, it will put your mind at rest, especially as it will be the weekend and then harder to see a doctor. Teething is unpleasant but shouldn't cause lack of appetite or diarrhoea.

Normally she is a really good eater and will have breakfast and lunch and a bottle with both but today she has only had 2 spoons of poridge and about 3ounces of milk all day. I have got an appointment with the doctor later this afternoon just to put my mind at ease

hope the gp said she was fine. Have you got ant teething gel - always worth having some handy and putting some on if you think it might be teething - can't do any harm and may help make it feel much better.

Mine often went off food and had very runny (and sore) bottoms while teething (another wonder phase ).
