DD2 9 weeks old has very dry skin, all over her body. Its very bad on her face and scalp. We use oilatum in her bath and nothing else on her skin at all. Im wondering if we could use some kind of cream to help it. What is the best thing to use? Apart from olive oil..dont fancy that!

Have you had her checked over for eczema?
If it is just dry skin I can vouch for Waitrose organic bottom butter. It has absolutely nothing artificial and about 5 ingredients (without me looking) and is like magic. We use it on everything including scalps and faces

i suffer terrible ecsema and lad has bit. i use aqeous cream all over.its just a moisturiser nothing harsh and you can get a big tub for 99p. i even use a touch on his hair wet after washing to enhance his curls and my mum swears it keeps her wrinkles at bay. i love it!!!!

terrible spelling AQUEOUS !

careful with aqueous as it can sting around the eyes.
If it is on the face and scalp it could be seborrheic eczema. Go and get it checked out,and see if olive oil or emulsifying from the doc is the best.

Thanks for replies! I will get some aqueous cream, sounds great!

Im not sure DD has exzema, the skin isn't red or sore looking at all just flaky. Straight after her bath it looks completely normal, just seems to dry out during the day. I think i will see the health visitor anyway, see what she thinks.
