DD (3) vomiting again. 3rd time in 2 weeks. Could there be something I am missing?

Just over 2 weeks ago dd vomited once in the night. She went back to sleep and woke up fine in the morning so we thought it was something she ate or a mild bug.

Then 4 days later the same thing happened - vomited in the night again but this time she was sick 2 or 3 more times so we thought definitely a bug she hadn't shaken off.

That was last Mond.

Then the same thing happened last night. One huge bout of throwing up and although she is tired she seems fine this morning.

Doesn't sound like a bug, or does it?

She has no temp and no obvious other symptoms.

Could I missing something?

Possibly. Don't know what though. Maybe something she's eating or drinking that she's got an intolerance to. Trip to the GP if it happens again and a quick food diary scribbled on the back of an envelope to see if a pattern shows itself.

At three, both mine were in part-time nursery and caught everything going, so we had spurious bouts of vomitting. Good news though - they catch hardly anything now (aged 6 and 8!).

Thanks doodlez - I am starting to worry a bit now. She is really lethargic now and was quite cold.

I put a hot water bottle in with her and she is warming up a bit but she doesn't seem right.

Right, well in that case, phone the doctors! A good bout of vomitting does make you feel lethargic and probably cold but if you're worrying, listen to your instincts and phone the out-of-hours GP.

Do NOT do that thing of thinking "I don't want to mither the GP - it's probably nothing". Just phone.
