Vomitng 7 month old, have seen GP, but want any other opinions

My 7 month old dd has been doing dramatic vomits: large volumes of sick, sort of projectile. She did it a couple of times last week, and I tried not to think too much of it, as she seemed fine in herself.

This am she did it twice, at 5amish as I fed her, then went back to sleep and again after I fed her at 7:30, but not immediately, about 15 mins later. It was like a proper adult vomit, rather than a baby, and she seemed to be retching afterwards trying to do more.

No temperature and she is still fine in herself. Took her to docs and was lucky to see paediatrician. He said he thought it was because she was congested - she is pretty snotty - but she's been much more snuffly than this through the winter, and not thrown up.

Am worried it could be something I've fed her, or a bottle that I've not put in the fridge promptly enough after preparing, or a bug. You never know with babies do you?

Have just given her a smallish bottle 15 mins ago and no puke yet, but has done a poo that I would say was somewhat diarrhea-like and foul smelling

To complicate matters I'm supposed to be settling her into nursery this week, but of course couldn't take her today. Really need to take her tomo and get her settled before going back to work.

I know that I just have to keep an eye on her and it will probably pass, but it's the mystery surrounding babies that I find really hard to deal with!

Thanks for any words of wisdom.

it's awful, isn't it, I currently have a vomiting 3yo and it does get easier when they can talk.
I have to say, don;t think she will be going to nursery tomorrow, sorry. Can you delay your start at work?
Whatever it is, bug, minor food poisoning etc, I think the advice is just to give lots of water and dry food if she feels up to it and to keep watching for signs of dehydration.

Thanks for replying...feel so isolated in these situations! My 3 year old was vomiting 2 weeks ago, and although I felt bad for her, felt more confident to deal with it and was v glad she could now aim into a bucket!

Hope yours is better soon.

Have given myself 3 weeks before starting work, so there is still time to settle her in. Had hoped I might get a day to have hair cut and emerge from the primordial swamp etc....but it might not happen
