DD is 2.5yrs old started on Wed with high temp 39 her norm is in th 35-36 range gave calpol she woke in the night came to our bed seemed herself next day? Before she settled properly after bedtime stories and milk she coughed a mouthful of sick (mainly milk a spoonful) she was her normal self hence she went to cm's the next day!
So Thursday eve she is burning up again althouh complAining of being cold, more calpol given temp not completely settled same again mouthful of sick, and ended up in our bed didn't send her to cm's as didn't seem like a random temp thing!
So roll on friday she's seems okay in the am a bit clingy dh stays of work with her takes to doc who says viral infection keep giving calpol for temp perscriped amoxicillin and said to only give if she got worse.....so she had a temp again last night gave calpol seemed to setle her and sort temp out still woke and ended up in our bed I'm currently 6.5months pregnant so the timing isn't great as I can't sleep when she is in our bed!!!
So today I started the amoxicillin with calpol as no improvement but after rleaxh dose of calpol or nurofen or antib's she is being sick tonight left it about 20 mins after food (which I was amazed I got down her! Although icepops she is keen on and I figure hey will help hr throat!) so all day she has been complainig of sore mouth and throat and when put to bed earlier she was settled about 20 mins woke up coughing and bought up dinner and milk Ive cleaned her up n resettled her giving her only a few sips of icy water she wanted milk but it had curdled in her sick now finally asleep again! I'm on the floor onthe spare materess and wondering if it continues tomorrow what to do? Do I call nbd direct or wait til Gp is open on Monday?
Any thoughts?

In my experience if you ring NHS Direct they will tell you to ring the out of hours GP. I have 5 DC and DSC so have rung them lots of times, I have never been told anything else .

So, if I was you I would cut out the middle man and ring OOH GP.If you're worried (which you seem to be x), then I think it's always worth ringing them.Even if they say thats she's ok to wait til tomorrow you will feel better for asking wont you.

Hope she picks up today, you must be shattered.Keep us updated.
