My ds won't stop being sick It started quite suddenly last night when he woke up, started to urge, and brought up all of his dinner. He is still breast fed, so I gave him a cuddle and a feed, but that came straight up too. He hasn't slept at all, and his nappy hasn't been wet, but he has been sick straight after any fluids, and quite violently- he almost seems to choke before anything comes up. What can I do, or try and give him to eat?

I'd stick to offering fluids, including breast (which is especially valuable as often it will settle when no other source of calories will). Try an ice lolly or anything mostly fluids that he'll try to swallow. The mouth and the stomach lining themselves can absorb some fluids even if most of it vomitted back up, so worth trying.
Get in touch with NHS Direct if it's still going on tomorrow morning or anything else gets worse.

Has he keep down any fluids at all? What is his behaviour like?

Dry nappies is a worry as he could already be getting dehydrated(it can happen very fast in a small child).

I would speak to a doctor today or phone NHS direct.

Thank you. I can't get to a hospital as I don't drive but I am going to take him to the walk in centre now just so they can check him over. His behaviour is a little sleepy, but I suppose that's to be expected as he really was up all night. He's eaten a few rich tea biscuits and kept them down, and has kept his most recent breastfeed down, so hopefully he's now on the mend
