Baby chipped tooth - any dentists out there?

My 9 month old DS likes to chew the tap in the bath, and this evening he was a bit over-zealous and chipped his top front tooth (he has one tooth at top, 2 at bottom). It's not a large chip - barely visible - but it's left a razor-sharp edge. I'm still breast-feeding, and it's agony!

I'm wondering, given that his diet is still mostly slop, is this sharp edge going to flatten down on its own? Or does it need to be filed? I can't imagine being able to breast-feed much longer if it stays like this.

Help!!

not sure what to suggest- but i'm sure they wouldn't 'fill' a baby tooth... bunping for you and sympathies for the sharp bite while BF, must be awful!!

my son chipped his tooth,it was sharp but soon naturally filed down. he was older though and eating harder foods.

perhaps ask dentist for advice,i was told to just leave it alone. but maybe give a few harder things to chew on? not a block of sandpaper tho!!
