DS not eating much

DS is 5.5mo and for the past few days he has really not been interested in feeding, but today has been by far the worst day.
I haven't started weaning yet, and he usually manages about 8oz every 4/5 hours.
He is teething quite badly is obviously in a lot of pain. We have dentinox for his gums and cold teethers.
He also has a snuffly nose. I have nasal drops and some baby olbas oil type stuff, and I give him the drops before I try to feed him.
He had about 6oz at about 12, then 2oz at about 4. I think he is hungry, but put the bottle anywhere near him and he screams. I can hear his stomach rumbling but he just keeps refusing. I've tried little and often, but he still just screams.
Other than the teething and the runny nose, he seems totally fine. He's perhaps a little grumpier, but in high spirits generally.

If he till doesn't feed much tonight, I'll take him to the doctors tomorrow, but I was wondering if anyone has been through something similar.

I always found Dentinox totally rubbish. Try Bonjela teething gel or Anbesol. Also the Teetha sachets are good too, to calm them.

Give the teething gel 10 minutes before a feed to numb the gums. Then you will probably find he'll take the feed easier.

If he is really distraught break out the Calpol. We can feel guilty as mums for breaking out the heavy artillery but we'd all take lempsip which has paracetamol in if we were ill, so try to think of it like that, if you're worried about it. The Saline nose drops really help clear the nose before a feed so they can breathe and feed. But my two used to hate them. Try that instead of olbas maybe?

My two always go off food when poorly but try a better teething gel and then the feed and see what happens IMO.

Take to GP if quiet, high temperature etc.

Thank you, I'll try him on some other stuff instead of the dentinox.
He seemed better after his nap last night, so no need for calpol and he has had a lot to eat this morning.
Fingers crossed his nose is getting better.

see if he can take milk from a cup or a spoon if you're worried
