My ds is almost 5. Typical boy very active, boisterous, loud etc etc. For the past couple of months we have been getting the I've got a tummy ache every day or at least every other. It normally coincides with being hungry or needing a poo but sometimes can be before school which I assume is anxiety/butterflies. I think he says it sometimes as others him attention, ie I drop everything and give him attention. However I am a bit health anxious about my kids sowhen he says it I feel oh no not again. Could it be anythingmore sinister to worry about. He is normally up playing in a couple of mins once he's forgotten about it. He has recently started eating a lot more dairy, only hascheese in sarnies for school, yogurts and milk on cereal. Any ideas or any other kids with this? Xx

I am having similar problems to your ds with dd2. Tummy aches every day along very runnuy loose poo's.
It has been suggested to me that it may be a dairy allergy as my nephew has a dairy allergy and had similar symptoms.

We are off to the gp tomorrow to hopefully start sorting it out. Hope you find some answers soon....

I have exactly the same problem with my DS (5).

I haven't taken him to the GP yet but have been keeping a food diary as I suspect a food intolerance and since cutting out milk (10 days now) he hasn't had a tummy ache or diarrhoea.

It has upset him though as he loves his milk and isn't keen on the soya alternative!

Dd was like this. I took her to the GP who suggested it could be due to the amount of dairy products in her diet. We cut these down and have seen a big improvement.

Like PiperHalliwell's ds, dd is not impressed, but is worth her complaining as such a big difference.
