There have been a few tonsils and adenoids threads recently and I wondered if anyone could give me their experiences.
DD (3.5) developed swollen and infected tonsils just before Christmas (though no sore throat or associated sickness). GP gave her a 10 day course of antibiotics. We finished the course and for a day or so, the tonsils were 'normal'. They then became swollen again (though no white spots) and have been like that for the past 2/3 weeks. Took her back to the GP this week who suggested that DD might have a milk intolerance and that the swollen tonils were a symptom of this and suggested we try cutting out milk and if that didn't work, to maybe consider some homeopathic treatment. If this doesn't work, GP will refer us. Does a milk intolerance sound likely if she's got to 3.5 without showing any symptoms or problems? She had her pre-school boosters in late November, as the tonsils work on helping to fight whatever might be attacking the body, could the booster have had an effect (she has been fine after all her other jabs). Has anyone else been advised to try homeopathic treatments and did it work?
DD doesn't find the swelling a problem, but she is snoring quick spectacularly and beginning to breathe through her mouth quite a bit.
Any information/experiences would be welcome. Thanks.
