DD is 5 months and has a flat head. I don't remember when I realised that her beautiful round head had flattened. I just left it. Now I'm wondering if I'm still on time to buy one of this special pillows or I will be to blame when she grows up and realises.

My daughter had a flat/mis shapened head and the best thing i did for her was take her to have cranialsacral therapy and i think that a chiropractor can help as well. She was a few months old before i started it which wasnt a problem at all. It didnt hurt her at all and it really made a very big difference - her head shape is normal. She was also a cranky baby and it really helped with that as well. She would have a lovely long peaceful sleep after the treatment. One of the best things i ever did for her.

Get a pillow !! Its not near too late for one,we had one each for our twins as twin 1 was squashed either side of her head due to being jammed down in my pelvis for so long with her twin brother jumping on her !!
Twin 2 lay on the back of his head all the time so it started flattening at the back ,we got goi goi pillows for them both and they had them in their prams and cots till they were about 20 months though their heads corrected in shape very very quickly.
Best thing i ever done because i was the same i was worried if i done nothing they would have starnge shaped heads forever !

I don't think those pillows were about when my dtr was born or if they were i never knew about them and that was only 8 years ago! how things change! Makes me feel old! They sound like a really good idea.

our son had / still has a bit of a flat head its called plagiocephaly and you should get refered by your doc to see a physio. You should do this and a craniofacial expert will check the bones at the front of the face don't get pushed out in any way. Its all fine but do see a doc as you'll get refered to the right people. we also use goi goi pillows

Thanks a lot and sorry for being away 1 week (not really away, just in the kitchen and by the washer).
daisycake, I'm going to read about this cranialsacral therapy straightaway, thanks very much.
miniandme, I came across this pillows in a website, but DH and I were not sure that using our normal soft pillow was any different, I'm glad that you can recommend it. I'm happy to buy it now.
fandango75, I took DD to the GP and was told that there was nothing to be worried about, that her head might round itself a bit but her hair will cover any flatness anyways... She won't refer her. I was not very satisfied.
I found out about some helmets that are good to correct flat heads but the price is £2000! So I'm very willing to try what you all have recommended. Thanks a lot again
