poo question: if food reappears *whole* in the nappy, is this a problem?

DS2 who is 11 months ate some edamame beans at the weekend and since then, his nappies have contained whole beans.

Is this a prob? Does this mean he is not digesting them? Should I discontinue access to edamame?

On a side point, should he be eating soya beans at all? Oestrogen question?

No, beans (and raisins and sweetcorn!) have indigestible skins so they "reinflate" in the nappy - disgusting but what you are actually seeing is the bean skin, stuffed full of poo. Don't worry

I don't know about the soya question though, hopefully someone else will.
