no gigglebells... his asthma inhalers shouldnt make his nose bleed. I was meaning the nasal sprays...as the steroid goes directly into nasal passages and the mucus membranes are really delicate to start with. Its good he can come off the inhlers in summer ...he was very young when he started on them Have they kept a check on his height with having steroids since birth?

yes, his height and weight have been checked every few months, all his life, and he's stayed on the same [50th] centile. he seems quite little to me, but is average amongst his friends. Ta for the reassurance - I have wondered for years whether there was a link between the inhalers and the nosebleeds.

if he is on them for years make sure he is getting enough calcium and vitamin d as steroid inhalers cam caused lowered bone density if used long term. Not that i would worry about it,but its worth asking

my 12 year old had daily (at least) severe nosebleeds a couple of years ago, for a few months. They coincided with her having a big seizure, and the docs did investigate them to see if there was any link.

Turns out, she had various allergies, which resulted in there being a lot of scabs on the inside of her nose. As she is was a nose picker, she was constantly knocking the top of the scabs off, resulting in the bleed.

She had daily saline drops for her nose, and neo-clarityn medicine for a while, and eventually they cleared up.

Probably not the same at all as your situation, but it rung a chord with me with you saying your DS had asthma.

Hope he gets sorted soon
