She is in reception and has been bitten on the face by another child and it has broken the skin
Teacher was ringing to ask me to make an appiontment with GP as there is a blood blister and skin on her cheek is broken.
They do not feel I need to pick her up atm as she is fine although was very shocked and tearful at the time.

What is the GP likely to do?

I don't know re the GP except clean it up properly - the poor girl. Hope she's OK. The other child's parents are going to be mortified.

oh go and get her!!

my ds 11 fell in playground yesterday and bruised and grazed his face. they rang me and i spoke to him. he was shaken and sore and wanted his mum!!

I would go and get her but it the christmas party and dinner today and I think she would be more upset at having to come home with me tbh.

Other childs parents maybe mortified indeed he has been sent home already 3x this term for biting, he has special needs and has a one to one LSA but he is just quick.

I just worry the other children will begin to isolate him if it continues, not sure as parents we can continue to tolerate it either

Anyway lots of hugs for DD, and I will get her some chocolate for after school to heal the hurt(bad mummy)

No no no go and get her (or at least go and give her a cuddle in school to check she is OK).

She is in reception. Don't teach her that being physically harmed by another human doesn't warrant special love and care.

You are right, off to get her now

She seems ok - Nasty red bruise on her cheek and a scratch near her mouth. I don't think the skin is broken, just very red and unfortunately it is on top of the birth injury scar she has on that cheek, so the skin is already rivetted and easily damaged.
She says it is not sore even to touch, so have cleaned it up and put some savlon on. If it is worse in the morning I will keep her off and go to the GP
