DS has just been diagnosed with convergence excess squint in his right eye.. Apparently its pretty rare, but it basically means he squints badly at close quarters but not at all at distance..
Apparently, his only options are surgery, or wearing bifocals. I don't think at 4yo, the bifocals are an option, but the surgery apparently is an all or nothing no return type affair, in that what they do cannot be amended or changed at a later date.
I've googled it, and its all meaningless to me, so before I go any further - has anyone come across this before?
thanks muchly
