DD vomiting after milk

Morning. On friday DD 2.5yo threw up after her morning milk but waS then bright and perky for the rest of the day and was fine after her milk on Friday night. SHe was had a bit of a cold so we put it down to coughing and as just one of those things.

She was sick again yesterday morning after her milk and again fine afterwards. She had some cheese and yogurt during the day and was fine so had some more bedtime milk and threw up the lot. She then was sick again this morning.

I assume she now has some lactose intolerance - hopefully temporarily. Should I keep her off milk for a while? IS it worth trying soya milk because she is a fussy little monkey slim child who doesn't eat much - only usually potatoes in various forms, cheese, milk, apples and cucumber and I want to keep getting some calories into her.

Any other thoughts?

massive sympathies as dd similar when got a bit of a bug and the only thing she really likes to drink is milk. you can get lactolight milk at waitrose/sainsbury or the alternative that seemed not to cause an issue with us is "poorly milk" which is a small bit of milk (about 1 to 5/6 parts) with water - it looks like milk but basically the water in it is usually enough to take edge off things.

Also those squidgy packs of smoothie seem to help getting calories down dd - the novelty of mkaing a mess squeezing eating them very good.
