3 year old daughter gets a blister on her top lip whenever she eats something warmer than luke warm. It then dries up and hard lump of skin hangs down. She finds the blister makes her lips sore. Has anyone else had this problem? If so, what hve you done about it?
She has developmental verbal dyspraxia so I wondered if it had anything to do with the skin not being tough as she hasn't been using her lips properly to speak?

No, I don't think so. I did take her to the GP today who didn't think I was making a fuss, but said she'd not heard of this before and to keep it smothered in Vaseline which would form a barrier & to return in 3 weeks. If it hasn't improved by then she will refer us to an ENT specialist, which is kind of her, but I think there must be a solution out there which a Mumsnetter has tried. Thanks.
