I have noticed that my 15 month old has a red eye, it's watering and has a green crusty gunk but only a bit.
Doctors won't give me an appointment today, pharmasist say Brolene drops are ok for her age.
Has anyone ever used them before or should i just keep clean with cotton wool and boiled water till the doctor can see her?

should be able to get an emergency appt at docs cos of DC age. if its gunky the doc should be able to give you some chloramphenicol drops. can you get a phone appt.

The surgery said all the emergency appts were gone and they close at 1pm on a weds. Will call early for an appt tomorrow. It's getting worse so she def needs to see someone.

Thanks for replying

Unless she's in discomfort I'd go for the cooled boiled water then see what the Dr says. That often clears it up, esp if it is linked to a cold/blocked nose.

yes agree with WW til tomorrow ,but insist on an appt tomorrow

if its gunky and yellow it will need ABx but use a seperate piece of cotton wool on infected eye to clean it away with the cool boiled water.
