DS says he has a pip up his nose - GP says unlikely as no pain/watery eyes - what do I do?

DS was eating an apple then walked over to me and said he had an apple seed up his nose. He kept poking it etc. (which I told him not to do) and I said snort outwards but he can't really do it right and snorted inwards [whoops]. I cannot see it anywhere else, and the apple had a massive seed free hole but when DH rang GP he said it's unlikely as his eyes would be watering and he would be in pain. Do I just leave it then? I can see how a slim seed can slide in painlessly but I am not a doctor What do I do?

How old is he?
Wouldn't necessarily cause pain etc (sometimes you don't find out about these things for weeks until they are all decomposing and the child is being investigated for a foul smelling nasal discharge!)

Best way to get it out is to block the other nostril then gently blow into his mouth - this is the way it is done in A&E (and it is the parent's job to do the blowing)

He is 3.8. Do I cover his mouth with mine like mouth to mouth? Thanks
