Dd2 (2.5) has been sick the last two nights running, but is fine during the day. What could be causing it?

Apart from the 'buggers' in her tummy, it is happy during the day. Or so she says .
She eats and drinks normally and isn't sick. Seems her normal cheery self

But then is sick during the night/early hours.

She had bad cold about two weeks ago, but doesn't appear to be snotty at all now.

Could she be getting overheated in bed. My 7 yr old DD does this sometimes. She is in a bedrooom with 3 outside walls so her radiator is always turned up quite high as we are aware her room is sometimes chilly.

She insists on having the duvet wrapped up around her and a fleecy blanket on top of that cos its cold when she goes to bed. I usually go up and pull the covers down a bit and remove the blanket after half an hour when shes asleep . But occasionally I forget and she wakes up about 10ish burning up and retching. if I don't get up to her quickly and calm/cool her down she is sick.

Sorry long post.

have you got your heating on during the night/early hours ?Could she be getting too hot?

ShinyAndNew · 15/11/2009 13:31

Heating is on auto. Our room doesn't get particularly hot, but theirs is smaller.

I will try leaving the window open a bit tonight.

oh no don't open the window - can't ou turn the radiator down a bit instead - otherwise ou're literally throwing money out of the window!

ShinyAndNew · 15/11/2009 13:37

I think I can turn theirs off. I'll check.

be worth a try - if she wakes up complaining she's cold and is still sick you can turn up back up for tomorrow night and investigate other options
