Bronchiolitis, how bad does breathing need to be for A&E?

15 week old DS2 diagnosed with bronchiolitis yesterday. I see online that laboured breathing is a symptom and I know that the bit between the collar bone going in and out and the stomach muscles working are signs of working too hard to breathe (which is what he is doing)

How would I know what is too bad? When DD was 2 she had double pneumonia and was blue lighted to A&E as back then I had no idea of the signs- I do now

My gut feeling is that he is ok, but he is breathing very noisily and fast with the signs above.

I don't want to let it get to the stage DD was.

Hi everyone. Just updating from the hospital. We went in at 7 and his sats weren't too bad- oxygen was 95 but he had a temp and his heart rate was accelerated. Saw three dr's who were all for sending him home but they did a last check on him and his sats had dropped to 88 so we had to stay in. He had more oxygen and calpol and then they said there were no cubicles available and we would have to transfer by ambulance to another hospital.
We got to the other hospital at 1am and once we had been triaged by the lovely staff nurse we got into bed at 2.30 am. Managed to have an ok sleep in my sweater dress and tights . Dr has seen him this morning and says he should be ok to go home at teatime. He has had one puff of an inhaler but we've not seen anyone for a few hours so think I'll go and check.
Will update later

Oh lovely. Very glad to hear it. Hope he perks up soon. I'll never forget my first day in hospital with dd when she had bronchiolitis at 8 months. The date was 11 September 2001 ... hardly saw any tv news, was very distracted by dd's illness, I don't remember that particular day in the same way other people do.
