Hi my ds had py and had his op at 3 weeks, he is now 16 months old and a happy active toddler, just wondering if anyone on mn have been through this or going through this illness.I just wanted to start a thread where we could all talk about our experiences and how our babies are now.

sorry no, I had a very pukey baby who was investigated for this, but turned out to be just a very pukey baby, with an added dairy allergy. Didn't want to leave your message unanswered though, and I'm sure there must be more people in a similar position to you

My dh had it as a baby, eats like a horse now!

I had this as a baby!

I'm nearly forty now and I too eat like a horse (and it all stays down!)! There are very few photos of me as a baby though as apparently I was too thin to look attractive to my parents!!!

Good luck MrsJiggle, glad the little lad's doing well.

Thank you spenthen, he is doing well, it was very scary watching a 3 week old wheeled down for surgery, glad you are good

Ds1 was diagnosed with this when he was 8 weeks old. He is now a very active 3.3 year old and has had absolutely no side-effects whatsoever

Me and DH went through hell during the first weeks of his life and, as you said, there is nothing worse than watching your baby being wheeled down to theatre but 3 years later, it is nothing more than a distant memory

Did have a bit of a wobble when Ds2 was born and started being sick a lot at around 5 weeks old....in the back of my mind, I knew it wasn't py as he hadn't been sick at all before then but it still made me and Dh very nervous (not sure I could have coped with seeing another of my babies wheeled to theatre).

Good idea to start the thread for anyone searching. It took a while for DS1 to be diagnosed as he didn't have the typical projectile vomiting so the doctors kept saying it was D&V bug/reflux

My DC3 DS2 had his op at 3.5weeks for this.. he is now a healthy 2year old.. I am 31weeks pg with my 4th baby and DS3 I am having a detailed scan on wednesday to aee if they can see if this baby has the condition also.
I know with DS2 it didnt show up on the scan as my gynae was mortivied she hadnt picked it up. We shall have to wait and see as obviously really hoping this baby will be ok as really dont want to have to go through that again..
