14 month old won't drink

OK any ideas on this one. He's been poorly for a week now. Didn't have his mmr cos of a temperature on Thursday last week, calpol and cuddles all weekend but still not better. Drooling and grumpiness indicated teething. Went to docs on Tuesday after we found crusty goo in his ear and got anti-b's. Still grumpy, still drooling but from Wedensday onwards he hasn't really drunk anything. Won't have his milk in the morning or afternoon, hepl lonly have a few sips of water/juice from his sippy cup during the day. In fact, he'll only ever have a few sips of anything and then reject it. He's making the sign for milk but refusing it when it gets near his mouth. Is this teething? How long should I let it go before I go to the doctors.

could it be his throat hurting? doesn't want to swallow? you could try some kind of pure fruit ice lolly that he could suck on (or rather you hold it for him). You could make it yourself with fruit juice and water and freeze it?

I wonder if it's an ear and throat infection?

Is he still making wet nappies? How often? Do his lips look dry? Those are the main things to look out for (concerning dehydration)
