Ds2 is 8 months and struggling with teething has been drooling and chewing for 4 months now but still no teeth.
I know to use Paracetamol, Ibuprofen, Ashton and Parsons, Anbesol, and teething gel (not all at once).
I put his gel filled teething rings in the fridge.
Are there any other tips you can share with me to make this less painful for him.
TIA.

Teetha?

Similar to ashton and parsons but easier to pour in their mouths!

Another vote for Ashton and Parsons and Nurofen.

baby sock filled with crushed ice?

(crush the ice after it's in the sock. You probably would would have done this anyway, sorry for stating the obvious, but I spent some time trying to funnel bastard ice chips into the tiniest sock in the world. And then he didn't really take to it. But your baby might. Good luck wiht it, anyway. It's horrible seeing them suffer, isn't it, mine's the same age.)

Never used any medications/remedies as DS seemed happy just chewing stuff, mainly wood. After he had a go at DH's guitar and our coffee table we started giving him wooden spoons from the kitchen which he seems to like.

Night time Baby Orajel - fraid you can't get in UK, but i might have some in the cupboard unopened, if you want me to look (i need to check it is in date).

It does however numb my gums as an adult as it has novocane in it (or another 'caine') so only use sparingly. But it works a treat for severe pain, knocks spots of anything else i used.

DD was in a lot of pain and nothing worked. Happened to be in US and tried this, as you can buy it over the counter (not licenced in uk as too strong i think) and she stopped crying immediately. She then started again as I had used it immediately before breastfeeding and her lips also went numb for a few minutes and she could not feed .

Flannel soaked in cold water - brilliant.

The sock and ice sounds good too.

Old ones are the best!!!
