My 3-yr-old took a big swig of a scalding hot drink
There is no visible damage in her mouth, except on the end of her tongue which looks red and textured. She complains that it is her tongue that hurts, but I don't know if she just can't differentiate between the roof of her mouth / throat etc.
I gave her lots of cool water to sip. She had an ice cream and some ice cubes to suck. She has had some painkiller.
Is there anything else I should do? I don't think there is anything a doctor would do is there? Just painkiller if necessary and cool drinks?
She's having a sleep now.
