Don't know whether she has injured herself or if it is something else. We certainly didn't see her having an accident etc. I'm sure we would have heard about it.

They are very sore looking, quite large, white-ish/pink water filled blisters, with puss in. Sorry tmi.

I probably need to get her to the docs in the morning. But DP is wondering should we pop them tonight. Or not????

Help!!

Has she got any on her feet? It could be foot and mouth. Take her to the doctors in the morning just to check.

cookielove · 27/05/2009 18:15

does she have them any where else and on both hands?

Crackopenthebaileys · 27/05/2009 18:15

Foot and mouth maybe?

and definately DON'T pop them! Opens them up to infection.... not a good idea!

cookielove · 27/05/2009 18:16

i was thinking foot and mouth to

cookielove · 27/05/2009 18:18

it could also be impetigo, as that starts in blister form and can be found on the hands

Whimsy · 27/05/2009 18:20

Hand,Foot&Mouth

PuppyMonkey · 27/05/2009 18:20

Thanks all. They don't really look like that pic. They are whiter looking and just on fingers. I agree not to pop I promise.

Sorry to be thick, but what exactly is foot and mouth?

DP has just whizzed her off to the pharmacist for their opinion. Our docs is closed on Weds afternoons. Which is good.

what did the phamacist say Puppy?

PuppyMonkey · 28/05/2009 08:55

The pharmacist says it just looked like localised blisters, not hand, foot and mouth. And she's certainly not ill or anything. Just her usual barmy self. No other blisters. None on mouth or feet.

We got some antiseptic cream and we'll keep an eye on her today. I'll take her to docs this evening anyway.

Thanks all!

Are they around the nail?

PuppyMonkey · 28/05/2009 10:38

No, Flyme, they are all up and down the inside bit of her middle finger and the adjoining one iuswim. Quite red and sore looking this morning, look like they need to pop. The skin is a bit flaky too. Nothing on the other hand at all. Bizarre.

I wonder if she managed to play with something that irritated her skin, like something in the garden or a washing product?

belgo · 28/05/2009 10:43

I thought hand foot and mouth, but if doesn't really sound like it.

has she been playing in the garden or outside anywhere? I'm wondering if she's had a reaction to picking up a plant or something.

belgo · 28/05/2009 10:43

ah x-crossed theprovinciallady

PuppyMonkey · 28/05/2009 11:49

Now you see I was wondering about that.. maybe she's just touched some nettles and gone a bit allergic!
