Hi - just looking for some reassurance please - DS was sick last night at 10.15. Carried on really retching til he was empty. Seems ok in himself, ie reading books between bouts of vomiting.

Slept from mid night til 7.30am with a drink of water about 3am.

Just had small amount of breakfast and been sick again.

Temperature is normal, and can hear him calling now to go outside.

How long should I leave it before I worry?

My gut reaction is that he's ok, but would like some words of wisdom please. Thanks muchly.

my ds has woken up feeling sick was fine when he got up then started being sick

at his age 3 days of complete sickness would be a worry

as long as fluids are going in don't panic about food give ice pops as dissolve slower and less likely to make feel sick

he is obviously quite lively so i wouldnt panic at all

my ds is in bed with no energy but i wont panic too much as normally give it a day or 2 as long as fluids are going in im checking his temp and body for marks etc

as long as drinking then all should be fine

just dont force any food i would say keep offering just fluids and maybe try slice of toast if that stays down then starchy food is best pasta rice and mash potato no sauces or very little

I'd lay off the food for a while and just keep offering small sips of water for a while.

Your gut instinct is telling you he's ok and he's asking to go out to play I'd say he's not feeling too dreadful. Just keep a close eye on the situation for now.

Thanks - he's now managed to keep some toast down for about an hour.
