Well, I wonder if it's chicken pox THIS time... [hmm]

DS has been sent home from nursery with chicken pox.
Again.
He has never had chicken pox.
He is quite prone to viral rashes - which have been 'diagnosed' as chicken pox by nursery previously.
He did have may 8-10 little pink/red raised spots on him yesterday - but all over not just around waist/torso. Apparently (I am at work) he has several more now and they are itchy. But DH can't see any that are like blisters.

Not convinced it is chicken pox so far...to be honest, I am leaning towards thinking the cats must be due for a flea treatment although nursery say he has got a few more while he's been there ( maybe they have fleas too?!)

chicken pox spots don't blister until after a few days. Does he have any other symptoms? If in doubt, phone GP.

Chicken pox spots do seem to appear before your eyes and do not always start on the torso.

In my two, they looked like little fluid filled blisters (like a cold sore) almost straight away and then crusted a few hours later.

And they just keep appearing!

Ds was over it and back at school within 5 days. Another child in his class was off for about 3 weeks

So, I hope he is like ds. x

uh huh.

Think so.

He is pretty covered now and some look distinctly blister-y.

Well, nursery had to be right eventually!

Hope it runs it's course swiftly
