When will this reflux stop?

Cos I am fed up with the sick everywhere! DS is 10 months and I am despondent as was told it would improve by 3 months, then by the time he was started on solids, then 6 months, then by the time he was sitting up, then by the time he was able to move around (that one didn't make sense to me-seems bit of a cop out). Anyone else got a positive story of their dc overcoming reflux? When I posted before all I got was negativity (however please still post if you are in a similar situation. Thanks all!
P.S. He is healthy and gaining weight so there is no real need for medication according to the docs.

Hiya my DS carried on after they told me it would stop - not as badly but it carried on way after he started solids. I would say it went completely at around 12 months (he didn't walk til 16 months so that had nothing to do with it). My DS was gaining weight well after initial probs but it was causing him pain so we were on meds anyway which I weaned him off after 12 months.

I know you've probably tried everything but how much milk is he still having? Is he BF? If FF try thick formula, or if BF try giving him solids straight after (e.g. just a piece of bread). We were mix feeding and both of these seemed to help. I have to say though I don't really know why it stopped completely - he genuinely did seem to just grow out of it at 12 mths. HTH

ds stopped at about 11 months

(was also healthy/gaining weight but was just greedy and puked up 3/4 of his milk)

(ds was bf) and did get better (didn't generally throw up solids) but was a "feed to sleep" baby until 18 months

Hi thanks for responding. He is formula fed on Nutramigen 2 as he is also suspected of being cow's milk intolerant. He only has a bottle when he wakes in the morning and at bedtime, but is still sick in the day with his solids - especially when he has water or juice.
It's giving me some hope that your dc's have grown out of it - was beginning to think I would be making excuses when he started school!!!

Also, am thinking of putting him into nursery, but am a bit concerned how they deal with a baby that is regularly spontaneously sick? Should I not put him in nursery til it has stopped? Am v lucky that I have been able to look after him myself until now.
