Slapped cheek - do I need to take ds to the doctor?

Ds seems to have caught slapped cheek.

He woke up with 2 really bright red cheeks and abit of a rash on his arms. He was in a village on holiday 3 weeks ago where I've heard half the primary school is down with it.

But it's a virus so I don't really have to drag him to the dostor do I? I mean there isn't much he can do about it treatment wise.

Not sure. I'd keep a close eye on his temp though, because it can get very high with this. A girl at our playgroup has just had it so am keeping an eye on both my boys.

No, there is nothing the GP can do about it. Hopefully it won't make him too ill (ds1 had it and was not ill at all - and did not pass it to siblings either).

He was abit wishy-washy today but otherwise no temperature. I read that the incubation time is about 2 weeks so he must have caught it on holiday and it's just come out now.
