Could this be hayfever? Asthma?

Ds is 5 and has a bit of a cough - it sounds quite congested, but he isn't coughing much iyswim - just when he does it's very yukky sounding.

He's been saying he feels sick since yesterday but hasn't been. (yet)

This morning his nose is very stuffed up as well. I'm wondering if it is

a) a normal cold/cough type thing.
b) maybe he's swallowing catarrh which is making him feel sick, but it doesn't seem to be bad enough for that really, just a bit of a cold

c) either asthma (he's had it diagnosed in the past but never really any big problems - it was just a very long term cough one winter) or hayfever?

Any thoughts appreciated, thanks

How long has he had the cough? Swallowing catarrh can indeed make you feel sick, so that could explain that. Hayfever seems to have really hit over the last few days, I know mine has flared up and my nose has been streaming with clear snot (TMI, I know) but Piriton is helping with that and my eyes are fetchingly stuck together most mornings atm.

Could he have a chest infection?

Thanks Smudge, sorry to ehar about your HF

Well, it's only been a couple of days that I've noticed it. His nose is running freely now so maybe I ought to give him some anti histamine and see if it helps.

He's eating and not so droopy today.

No temp so prob not a chest infection, I think.

Will see how it goes x
