random vomiting...anyone else's DCs do this...?

I think I posted about a year ago over this same subject. DS1 goes through little runs of seemingly random vomiting - usually only a single large vom - and then being fine, totally freaking his emetophobic mother out no end and also worrying everyone as to whether there's some problem or not. He's done it again tonight. Fine all day, ate well/normally, ate a good amount of tea (certainly not too much), went out in the car on the short journey to take DD to Brownies and vom'ed his whole stomach up on the way back. He is not remotely travel sick, though he can be a sensitive soul. He was tired tonight and sometimes I think over tiredness is a factor, but surely not an actually cause of random sickness...? By the time he got in (and further five minute in the car) he was a bit pale looking, but crying as DH had said no to him having pudding...! Seemingly random vomit, followed by return, seemingly to his usual self...what is that all about...??!

I'd love to know whether anyone else's children do this from time to time, and how you handle it when it happens. I find it really hard to cope with. Not to mention the stress over things like (as I am now thinking...) should he go to playgroup tomorrow or not...!? By the book (an if I was in any doubt that he was unwell) I wouldn't send him, but if he's seemingly totally fine in the morning, then should I or shouldn't I?!

Dunno about children but I throw up incrediably easy and always have. Doesn't necessarily mean I have virus but can be tiredness/stress/early mornings. It's annoying but not much I can do to stop it. It's worse as an adult and happens at least once a week (or daily if I'm really stressed).

I'm fine afterwards.

I, funnily enough, don't get travel sick either. But I do have quite a sensitive stomach.

Drove my mum mad as a kid because it was hard to tell if I was ill or not.

I suppose the playgroup policy would be no if been sick in previous 24 hours, but tbh if I took time off work every time I was sick I would never go.
