my dd has a large verucca on her toe. She had one previusly in the same place and we went to gp's and thought we had got rid of it after the nurse froze it off. But its come back
My dd is pleading with us not to go back to gps.

On a friend's recommendation we've been rubbing it with a file each night and then dabbing some sort of acid (from the chemists) on it. It's reduced it in size but we've been doing this for nearly 2 months.

Someonelse told us to put duct tape on and thta would work. Does anyone have any suggestions or advice?

Ds2 had a big verruca on his little toe. Tried bazooka for months, nothing happened. Gp said they will go on their own and he was right. One night it was there , next night noticed after bath that it had gone. Just left a sort of dent in his toe which has smoothed over now.

Wow,well you're lucky Amberleaf. I spent 10 yrs butchering my foot in an effort to get rid of the fxxkers. Finally they went.

Miliways I was hoping that your link was going to be a picture of a verruca shaped-hole Grin.

DH had one on his foot a few years ago. He did the duct-tape thing and it was gone in a few weeks but the surrounding skin got very irritated (the adhesive, I think) so I'm reluctant to use it on DDs foot now. We've been going to get hers blasted with liquid nitrogen at the GPs and it's looking much better.

What do you use to file them? An emery board or one of those cheese-grater things for feet?

Ds2 had a mahoosive Verruca, 1 cm diameter. We used Bazooka and followed the instructions to the letter. Took 3 weeks for it to fall off.

Hey guys,
had to share as I have been trying to get rid of these bad boys for ages.
I had 3 verrucas, two for over 5 years, and one appear a few months ago.
The older ones have been frozen, had over the counter treatment but with no luck, but then one day I tried...
SUPERGLUE... yes, superglue. I know it sounds crazy, but I applied a little bit of super glue over the verrucas every day or so, and after about a week the new one, and one of the old ones completely went! The final one is starting to dry out (after about 2 weeks on and off remembering to put it on), and I am guessing the glue suffocates them.
Anyway, I had to share as I hope it can help someone else!

P.s make sure the glue is dry before putting your socks on

meisiemee · 28/12/2014 13:00

Bazooka is fab, fab it on leave to dry and wrap in plasters for 2 days, peel off and do it again.gone in 4 weeks

Wibble2000 · 23/04/2016 17:23

Ok so, Bazuka is absolutely useless. It does nothing whatsoever. Just save your money. I don't even know how Bazuka got through drugs testing. I've tried bazuka several times over the years, and each time all it did was make the varuka bigger. My recommendation is to use Superglue. It may sound strange, but it's more effective at sealing the veruca off, it lasts longer, it's cheaper, more effective, and it's absolutely fine to use on skin, because cyancrylate (the bonding agent) was actually invented by the military for sealing up open wounds on the battlefield, that's why superglue sticks skin together faster than anything else!

In theory though anything that deprives it of air should would fine.

MY STORY
For 5-6 years I had mosaic verruca on my feet which later spread to my hands. I tried everything - Bazuka Gel, Verrugon, Apple cider vinegar, Freezing (both home kits & with my GP), even Electro-Cauterisation surgery via private chiropodist (very extreme by the way, leaving me unable to walk for a week due to the gaping craters in my feet - then after 6-8 months the verruca reappeared!). Nothing worked and they just kept growing /spreading, I was near despair.
MY SOLUTION
My mother in law suggested I try covering the verruca with nail varnish and I gave it try. I applied clear nail varnish 2 coats at a time and then as soon as I noticed the varnish breaking/peeling I would remove and recoat.
Within a week I had results. This worked very well killing the verruca on my hands but not on my feet as just walking anywhere would crack the varnish. So I decided to try something else, I bought a quick setting 2 part epoxy resin from a pound store (this is a resin that has two plunger tubes that need to be mixed before application and the solution dries as a slightly flexible plastic). I applied this in the same way to the very large verruca on my feet, every time the resin started to come loose I would peel it way and reapply. I kept this up for a fortnight not really sure if it would actually work but to my relief It did. I AM NOW COMPLETELY VERRUCA free thanks to a resin that cost me one British Pound (after spending hundreds on my private chiropodist - to no avail)
Please give this a try before spending silly amounts of money on anything else as it worked wonders for me.

Nettle tea will do the trick. You can chill it and add ice/lemon/mint etc to make it more palatable.

Hi guys, i'd just like to share my story as i really know whats its like to have these dreadful things. I had about 7!! 3 on one foot and 4 on the other. And i had them for about 7 years. I tried everything. In the end, what i did was check my immune system. I discovered i had a weak immune system so I began looking after my health, exercising and eating right and sleeping well. Also taking multi vitamins etc. Now its not just that but what i found was they just started going. I still had some stubborn ones so i booked an appointment with a podiatrist. They are basically foot doctors. Trust me, invest and pay for it privately. The doctor blasted the remaining ones with his freeze gun and they all disappeared within a month. You really have to ensure you file your feet daily after a shower. Then keep your feet dry. Make sure you keep your immunity up. Just have faith and dont give up. I know what its like. Try be patient and keep at it.

I Tried almost everything for months to get rid of two verrucas on the sole of my son’s foot. Then he went away on holiday with his dad for a week, spent all week barefoot and then they both just fell off a couple of days after he got home! 😂

Not helpful to you OP, sorry, but if they are still there come summer (and on the sole of the foot of corse) give barefoot a go x

Rosiehere · 03/05/2019 10:52

I had a verrucca for 6 years n finally got rid of it last week. Three months of Bazooka ( not extra strength), it helped the Verrucca size to be reduced by 90%, the last bit was then blasted by wartie advanced extra strong (applied once). All gone, it took some persistence, defo life gets in the way but keep at it.Ma

Nail varnish a total fail, it just peeled off after an hour. We are now trying duct tape.
