Chicken pox question

Sorry a bit of a long story....Have had DD2 at gp twice lately ( 2 weeks ago and then 1 week ago) because of same concern. Started 2 weeks ago -small red spots with tiny blisters - only about 4 or 5 on leg/ nappy area. Thought nothing of it - just thought it was because of her dry skin. Friend said it looked like impetigo so I took her to the doctors. He didnt diagnose anything- said he wasnt sure if it was impetigo but gave us fusidin to use. Then DD1 got definite case of impetigo (more localized cluster of spots on her hip). Thinking it was a bit of a coincidence I took both girls to GP and again mentioned DD1s spots asked again what it could be (spots still appearing)Again no diagnosis just told to continue with fusidin. Now 2 weeks after first spot lots of spots all over body (approx 30)- thinking maybe chicken pox! No fever just a bit grumpy last couple of days.
Question is... could it have been chicken pox all along- can it take 2 weeks with a few spots before the bigger out break?
Thanks

Hmm, I've not heard of an outbreak taking htta long beofre. I am just on this board to ask a question about molluscum. Have you considered that it might be that? My ds started with a few spots by his arm and in the 2 months that he has had them half of his body is now affected

Whats that??

molluscum
I'd never heard of it either but is apparently very common, but not to the extent that my ds has it

Thats interesting thanks. Her blisters disappear very quickly however and are watery rather than hard. Will take to GP. Due to go away for weekend on big family holiday!! Double feck... not anymore
Shame for your wee one.. sounds harmless but very annoying X
