I've left it a bit late now, can anyone recommend a website to buy eczema-friendly school shorts from please?

You English are strange and cruel, expecting me to sent my precious DS in shorts from the week after next.

Anyway, I've left it very late and would like to buy basic grey school shorts in 100% cotton without any sort of special coating (stain guard or similar).

Thanks in advance.

i think that is almost impossible... try marks but i dount if you will find anything in 100% cotton... your best bet is to buy the material, and then get someone to sew it up for you. or do so yourself.

there are some schools that expect kids to wear shorts all year round. not that i would ever send mine to such a school

As an alternative, a place to buy short cotton longjohns that he could wear underneath would do. It would keep him warm and protect his skin from the nasty polyester or stain guard.

Sew them myself? I've never heard anything so outrageous in my whole life. [flounce emoticon]

Honestly though, it's just not that hot here, what is this fixation with keeping your child cold and uncomfortable. Although I love the school I'm almost glad that we will have left the country before DD is old enough to go so that I don't have to have the "skirts are impractical and chilly" conversation.

lol
my friend buys the check materiealin 100% cotton from john lewis and gets them sewn by a tailor for her dd's.

Actually, what I might do is recycle some of the pajamas that DS has grown out of into either separate under-shorts or sewn-in lining. I reckon my dire sewing skills will stretch to cutting off the bottom part of the pajamas and hemming them.
