Very odd blisters on 2yr old

Yesterday morning, I found a small blister at the top of dd2's nappy area (lower back), and another two on top of her foot.

I put antihistamine cream on the back one, which vanished within an hour leaving a small red mark, and nothing on the foot one, which also vanished

She has sore dry skin on her face, a sore looking upper lip (not blisters though, just dry and swollen/red due to runny nose I suspect) but other than a slight sniffle has not been ill or off her food for over a week.

Any ideas? Should I be doing anything more than keeping an eye on her?

chicken pox!!?

possibly hand, foot and mouth, or one of that family of viruses. DD had similar in her nappy area and her foot, doctor described it as non-specific viral rash of cocksackie family. She was OK to go to nursery as long as all the blisters had crusted

I did wonder about coxsackie family, but the blisters didn't last an hour even - let alone crust! Could that still be HF&M? I thought the blisters would have stayed for a few days - or at least hours?

She hasn't had CP, either, but doesn't look like that...her sister had it last year, and dd2 didn't.

I don't mean to be rude but have you got a dog or cat. They could be bites, ds got bitten when our cats were kittens.

Could be hadn foot and mouth. Typically starts on the bottom, and doesn't always appeared on hands, feet and mouth.

The sposts will disappear without crusting over, and will not be itchy or painful. It can cause mouth ulcers though that are painful, and cause dribbling, and sometimes a temperature.

Ah, ok, thanks - no cat or dog, and really don't look like bites (just clear, raised blisters/welts). I did'nt know HF&M could start on buttocks only, and maybe she had a very mild case....no fever, no sore mouth, and no spots of any kind today.

Hopefully whatever it is she's over it - very odd. Her big sister, otoh, has had a mild temp on/off since Thursday, headaches, and her eczema has flared up. So maybe she'll break out in blisters in a day or two!
