Teething - can you give both Calpol and Calprofen?

That's it really. DS is 18 months old and is teething at the moment, I think it might be his molars coming through.

I've been giving him Calprofen last night and this morning, but he can't have any more until 14:00 and he's almost screaming with pain. I've also given him some teething powders, but with little effect.

One of my friends said that it was ok to give both Calprofen and Calpol consecutively - does anyone know if that's correct?

Yes you can take paracetamol and ibuprofen together. Usually recommended in situations like yours when pain relief needed more frequently than 4 hourly.

Info from NHS24 here

Brilliant thanks Ceolas I've just looked at the link to NHS24 and it explains it quite well.
