I am curious about the strange and extreme symptoms babies seem to have when they're teething.
I posted in Children's Health yesterday asking if it was either normal or common or both for babies to run a fever when they're teething (stupid question, I know, but he's my first and I realized once I'd had him that all the med knowledge I have counts for nothing!) Got a bunch of replies saying yes, it's normal and common.

So now I'm curious - what strange and odd things can babies have when they're teething? And does anyone have any idea WHY all this happens?

Mine had red cheeks, dribbled, cold-like symptoms, temperatures and nappy rash outbreaks. Not necessarily all at the same time, and not for every tooth. It is strange isn't it? I've no idea as to the reasons though What I can say is that after trying the whole range of teething products, the one that worked the best for us was the Boots homeopathic teething granules - fantastic!!

Teething seems to make dd2 throw up, but only at night and only every now and then. I assume she's swallowing lots of dribble which is irritating her tum.

And why, WHY, do they have green poos when they're teething??

Oh, we're in teething hell. FOUR new teeth, not one, as I thought. Fever's back, poor little mite is just miserable. Wants nothing but boobie. Is that normal???
