Loads of cheap conditioner, the Nitty Gritty Nit comb and do it every other day.

Natural nit cure on 'Grow your own drugs' on tv right now

lowrib · 16/03/2009 21:02

Damn, missed most of it. It had tea tree, neem and some other things (looked like lavender but I missed what he said).
Did anyone else catch it?

lowrib · 16/03/2009 21:03

I'm sitting here with hedrin on my head as we speak. DD came home with her first epsiode of nits earlier along with a vomiting bug. 2 weeks ago we had our first experience of threadworms. What joy!

Clayre - I know it while since you posted. When you say your DD allergic to nits what does this look like? does she get hives?

Elibean · 23/02/2010 13:50

marie, I hear your frustration. One of dd's friends gets them several times per term, and it drives her poor mum mad.

Does your dd have her hair tied back/short, and do you use repellent sprays? I've no idea if its made a difference, or maybe its just luck, but I've sprayed dd's hair with Vosene nit-repelling spray stuff every day and plaited it. So far, so good (Y1). Though like I say, its just as likely to be luck

MadreInglese · 23/02/2010 13:52

Are you sure you are getting rid of them each time?
