oral thrush in 3 week old - how soon should I collect prescription?

Just been to the HV clinic and DS (19 days old) has a bit of oral thrush. He doesn't have it anywhere else, it's not affecting his feeding and the HV said he won't be in any discomfort. I called my GP who is writing a prescription today and faxing it to my local chemist. it should be available by 4pm.

I am recovering from a ceasarian and am supposed to be resting. I live in a flat and have already lugged the buggy downstairs once to go to the clinic today (which I've been told not to do, but how else can I take DS out??). I am debating whether to go and get the prescription later today or wait and get it in the morning, and that can be tomorrow's trip out. I've no idea how urgently thrush needs to be treated - can it wait until tomorrow? WWYD?

They can deliver it to you. Give them a ring. There is a relatively new service now where you can ring the chemist and have them make up the prescription and deliver. No Cost to you.
