Ok Ive given up assuming everythings fine.

My son is small for his age ( low birth weight and 5 weeks early ).

Since birth until now hes only had a handful of Solid poos EVER .

Sorry to be so graphic ...esp in the morning....
But they used to be the consistency of Porridge .

Now the last few weeks they are softer and ceramy ...and more liquidy...look like creamy chicken korma without the lumps ...

Has anyone else experienced this . ??
Is there anything I can do .

I do wonder if its the cows milk as in lactose intolerance ???
I tried changing to soya milk 6 m ago ....but he refused it ....and i thought it was awful too .

Would be good to hear from mums with similar experience .

Just worried hes not absorbing as much nutrients as he should be .
Thanks

Yes spot mrs gok. because hes a PITA.....
unsupportive re lots of my ideas .
but dont you worry my patientce has worn paper thin with him .....
and im feeling a lot better for it .

i think hes worried about DC missing out on nutrients ....

but he simply does not understand that some children can improve really quickly following a change in diet .

Wondering if thats part of the reason i.m on here . I just dont feel he gives me any support .

And i really did see my dc suffer this morning ..........he just loooked so uncomfortable .

Then if you are seeing your DC suffer you are doing the right thing in trying to eliminate it if it is going to be a while before you see the dietician. There are plenty of products in the supermarkets now a days to replace dairy/gluten.

We've all gone GF in our house (except bread, I just cannot give up my bread ) We cook every thing from scratch and we are a lot healthier for it.

We have actually got an appointment next month for an appraisal of DC2 and to have a look at DC3. We've been having some problems with him and his nappies [poll eyes emoticon]. He's not gluten intollerarnt because we are GF, I have done the cutting out dairy/lactose and still the same. Though I have noticed in the last couple of weeks we are getting patties. Cor!! what a thing to be discussing.

Poos much better ....
tried Lactose free milk and then Soya ....
Poos not solid yet ...but a lot less sloppy .

Really pleased with the change ....going to stay away from cows milk for now and see what happens .

Oh great. It is amazing how much less unpleasant nappy/potty/toilet time becomes when they have proper poos!
