The dentists thread has got me thinking.

Is there a wau or a place where you can take a child for dental chek-ups without the parent having to be registered.

I don't have a dentists as there are none taking on new NHS patients and I can;t afford to go privately. I'm not even sure I would want to wate money on NHS treatment for myself either at the moment a things are very tight though I know I need treatment !!!!

Anyway neither of my children have ever been to a dentist, they are aged 5 and 7. There used to be a schools dentist service where children could go, is there anything like that now?

I'm not sure about every health authority but when we moved areas and all the NHS dentists were full up they had a mobile service that used to be based for a day at different health centres and schools in the area.

You could be seen at this if you weren't registered with a dental practice.

Phone NHS Direct or your health authority as they can advise on this
