ds2 (14 months) threw up all over me on Thurs afternoon when I picked him up from nursery, next day had seriously gross watery nappies so put it down to bug, since then off food, stinky nappies (runny but not that bad), all 4 molars coming through and being sick at least once a day - could it be teething? books say teething doesn't cause runny nappies or sickness tho so am I ignoring signs that he's struggling with something? he's drinking water ok but not alot and sleeping loads, usually has 2 naps, one 45min one 1.5hr and then sleeps 7-6.30 but at mo having 3 naps, and sleeping longer at night usually in bed by 6.30pm

Yes, my DS was sick just about every time he had teeth coming through.

Also have a 14mo and going through molar teething hell!

So far Thomas has had v smelly watery nappies and been sick a few times. Has happened with every tooth so far too.

I was always taught at med school that teething doesn't make a child ill, but I am now more than happy to dispute that!

thanks, he was sick around time last ones coming thro as well but each time put that down to a bug, ds1 wasn't this bad at all so this is all new to me! dosed ds2 up last night and he had some dinner (nothing amazing, cheese, bit of ham, yoghurt and biscuit which is major step forward) and beaker of milk, and did same this am and managed to get him to take yoghurt and rice crispies for breakfast, any other ideas on what to offer him?

Mashes potato
Soft sandwiches (cream cheese, tuna mayo)
Yoghurt
Jelly and ice cream
Banana and custard

Fruit juice ice lollies popular here at the moment. Current refusing all food and milk. Surviving on bread, yoghurt and lollies.

refusing sandwiches and potato - managed to get him to drink more out of open diody cup rather than beaker

must get some fruit lollies to try...

My DS puked up constantly when he was teething, he didn't each much either. I remember it was a particularly miserable time for us all.

hi my name is emma i have a 21 month old son i can see that hes cutting teeth and he is complaining of tummy pains although i have seen him tug at his mouth too. he is being sick but very randomly, he is genrally sick evening/night time after he has kept food down all day. this cycle can sometimes go on for days. he isn't refusing food or water and his nappies vary from normal to very loose and smelly. does any of tis sound familiar? thanks emma

Hi my son is 16mths 3 big molars are coming through, and he is being sick after his evening meal, not every night, he keeps his breakfast down and lunch and biscuits. Does this happen when teething? He has a runny nose, a fever and grumpy alot of the time. I don't know if I should give my son his evening milk, or just water!! Should I take him to the Doctors? Thanks Kirsty
